Miracles don’t happen!

As I made dinner for my mom yesterday, the gas went off.
You know that feeling where you think- “Ugh, I just needed one more minute”? This was my situation.
And there was nothing I could do. Or maybe there was- I could have prayed for God to come and cause a miracle to happen as he did at the wedding in Cana. Nothing too hard for God right?

I did nothing. I sighed in frustration and began to cover everything to keep safe till tomorrow.
The truth is that it would ultimately depend on my faith and belief in God. Perhaps He would have performed a miracle for me if I had requested, perhaps I simply didn’t believe, or perhaps I lacked the words at the moment to ask it of him. Anyway, it’s a little too late for the “Maybes”.

You’re probably wondering what the heck I’m talking about.
So I began the new year with serious reflections. Because I had ended the previous year disappointed, I was determined that this year would be different. I didn’t want to keep working if I wasn’t going to see any results. So I was genuinely speaking with God.
And as I searched for answers, God told me, “You can’t expect a different result if you keep doing the same thing.”

Even while God made us as vessels — carriers of his light, love, strength, and more — he cannot save us if we refuse to let him work through us. If you want a different outcome, you have to approach the situation differently.
So you may have tried, but you may need to try harder or in a different way. Perhaps you’re just too comfortable where you are and don’t want to push yourself any farther. This was my circumstance, and God was urging me to grow up!

The truth is that the gas cylinder had run out of gas, which was why it could no longer provide light. So, while a miracle may have occurred and God could have done for me what he did at the wedding in Cana, the truth is that no miracle would happen if I refused to believe it.

Keep in mind that during the Cana wedding, Jesus required the guests to move and bring him water. According to Bishop Oyedepo, any faith that holds God accountable is irresponsible.
Miracles won’t happen if you won’t change this year! The fact is that it won’t be easy, it’ll be a work in progress but you’ll make progress. Just make it a priority to do something different this time.

PS: I wrote this at the beginning of the year but it never got here. The second half of the year is a good time to put it here. I hope it blesses you!
